Black Banners Are Mainly Bani Israel/Pathans

MUSLIMS FROM THE LOST TRIBES OF ISRAELTHE PATHANS /PASHTUN /PAKHTUN /AFGHAN OF AFGHANISTAN & PAKISTAN ARE THE CHILDERN OF PROPHET YAQUB (ISRAEL) AND PROPHET ISHAQ (ISAAC) Alay Salam
By Muhammad Kundi
Quran tells the 2 Divisions of Progeny of Prophet Ishaq037.113 وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَى إِسْحَاقَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls.1) Muslims (The Pathans) & (2) Non Muslims (The Jews) Are THE TWO PARTS OF THE FAMILY OF PROPHET ISHAQ(Alayhay Salam)
BISMILLAHIR RAHMAAN NIR RAHEEMThe Pathan or Pashtun or Pakhtun or Ethnic Afghan are are an ethnic/religious group of people, living primarily in Afghanistan, Pakistan, who speak Pashto or Pakhto language and indigenous religion. The Pashtuns are the world's largest patriarchal tribal group in existence. The total population of the group is estimated at 52 million.Pathans are the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan.Infact the word Afghan is synonymous to Pashtun as told in the following reference:The word Afghan ... first appears in history in the Hudud-al-Alam, a work by an Arab geographer who wrote in 982 A.D." Until the advent of the modern Afghan state in the 18th century, the word Afghan has been synonymous with Pashtun. The theory that the Pashtun or "ethnic Afghan"s are descended from the ancient Israelites—more precisely, from the perspective of Jewish history the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel— has a longstanding basis as a tradition among the Pashtun themselves, was widely accepted by 19th century British scholars, and has been accepted by some reasonably recent and prominent individuals such as Itzhak Ben-Zvi, second President of Israel. Ref: http://www.pakhtun.com/israeliSource.htm

THE CLAIM BY THE PATHANS AS BEING FROM BANI ISRAEL IS NOT JUST ORAL TRADITION The claim of Afghans to be the Bani Israel (Children of Israel) is not founded on oral tradition alone. It is supported by ancient monuments, old inscriptions, manuscripts, and historical works, many in the public domain, and many others in private collections. WRITTEN REFERENCES OLDER THAN 1000 YEARS TELLS THE TRUTH Apart from our own reference ,the oldest written reference we find is HUDUD-AL-ALAM written in 982AD by an Arab Geographer which clearly tells that PATHANS are not from ARAYANs but from BANI ISRAEL(infact he never mentioned the word ARAYAN) Also the word Afghan ... first appears in history in the Hudud-al-Alam and infact until the advent of the modern Afghan state in the 18th century, the word Afghan has been synonymous with Pashtun. Now in moderen times some of the Western Historians tell us that the Pathans are from the ARYANS and deny the ancient claim of the Pashtuns that they belong to the Lost tribes of Israel. This doesnt make any sense that someone from outside deny the claim of a whole Nation
ONE EXAMPLE OF A 700 YEAR OLD REFERENCE TELLING DETAILS ABOUT PATHANS ORIGIN One of the most ancient manuscripts available is Rauza ul Albab fi Tawarikh-ul-Akabir wal Ansab – The Garden of the Learned in the History of Great Men and Genealogies – by Abu Suleman Daud bin Abul Fazal Muhammad Albenaketi which was written in 1317 AD. The author in his Introduction explains that ever since the times of Moses the ancestors of Afghans have had to face great hardships. They were expelled from place to place and exterminated. Their ancient ancestors were sacked more than once and carried into captivity. In Chapter I a detailed history of Yaqub (Jacob) is given and in Chapter II the genealogies of the Afghan tribes are further traced.
SUDDEN TWIST OF OPINIONS BY THE SO CALLED WESTERN HITORIANS All the British Scholars in the 19th century never mentioned that Pathans are Aryans. Then suddenly some so called historians of the modern times in West claimed that Pathans/Pashtuns/Pakhtuns are Aryans and denied the claim of the Pathans of being from the Lost Tribes of Israel. One Un Biased Writer has said: "The Europeans always confuse things, when they consider the fact that the Afghans call themselves Bani Israel and yet reject their Jewish descent. Indeed, the Afghans discard the very idea of any descent from the Jews. They, however, yet claim themselves to be of Bani Israel." [Thomas Ledlie, More Ledlian, Calcutta Review, January, 1898] If Pathans are ARAYANs then so are the MARHATAS or The BERHAMAN Hindus, The Kashmiri Hindu Pandits, The Punjabi Arain Caste,The Jatt cast of Punajab, the Germans and so many numrous castes......it makes a strange situation when we say That Ahmad Shah Abdali was Fighting with the Pathans who were non Muslims i.e the MARHATAS.... It doesnt make sense since the Physical n Facial features of Pathans are entirely different from the Marhatas and PunjabisThese are all wrong claims put forward by some modern writers .The fact is that if Pathan's forfather have always called themselves as from the Childern of Prophet Israel then how come some modern day Western Writers deny this fact The realintention is only to change the meaning of ahadith which lead to the fact of Pathans being the Bani Israelis...u can find many references about this at [*]The declaration of saying that PATHANS are Aryans come from some modern days writers of the WEST and NOT FROM A SINGLE REFERENCE OF THE PAST or FROM THE REFERENCES OF OUR OWN FORFATHERS
It is a pity that we follow the reference of the people who were in dark ages for a thousand years (from 400 AD to 1400 AD),who had lost all sources of knowledge, history and culture in these 1000 years of darkness and who developed when they interacted with the Muslims in the Crusades which they never admit this .According to Quran ,Sura Al-Hujurat, verse No=6 49/6 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَنْ تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَO you who believe! if an evil-doer comes to you with a report, look carefully into it,…This verse tells us to be careful from the reports of the non believers The WEST tell us that the Pathans are from the ARYANS and deny the ancient claim of the Pashtuns that they belong to the Lost tribes of Israel. Its a funny thing to call Pasthuns as Arayans as the PUNJABI people, The Kashmiris and so many ethnic groups in India belong to the ARYANS and they have nothing in common with the Pathans. May Allah guide us all amen(allahuma salay ala Muhammad).
THE PROOFLet us prove the fact first by the ahadith of Dear Prophet(salallaho alayhay wa sallam)PROOF IN AHADITH OF DEAR PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Salallaho alayhay wa sallam)According to Ahadith the main signs of the majority of the Muslims (and the first followers) of the forces of Imam Mahdi are the following.1. They will come from the East2. They will come from the historical geographical region of Ancient Khorasan.3. They will be from a mighty warrior nation.4. They will be from a poor Nation.5. They are from a place with cold climate.6. They will be from the race of Bani Ishaq/Al-e-Haroon/Bani-Israel or Nation of ….liberated slaves (They all have the same meaning)
Now which race among the Muslims have all these 5 Sign? The Pathans living inAfghanistan and Pakistan have all these 6 signs because:1. They live in the East.2. They are the only people among Muslims considered to be among the lost tribes of Israel i.e from Bani Israel/Bani Ishaq/Al e Haroon /Nation of liberated slaves.3. They live in the region of ancient Khorasan.4. They belong to very poor nation.5. They are considered to be a fierce Warrior Race.6. They are from a place with cold climate. Now the Ahadith are telling that in the East , in the Historical Region of Khorasan,in the cold mountainous climate there exists a Warrior Race which belong to the family of Propher Ishaq (Isaq)Alayhay Salam who is the father of Prophet Jacob or Israel (Alayhay Salam). This proves that the Pathans are from the Lost Tribes of Israel and no other Nation is pointed out in these references from the AhadithSOME IMPORTANT FACTSBelow are the names/places common among the Pathans and the Bani-Israel.1. Pathan Pashtoons also known as Pathans.Very few people knows that Pithon is the name of the great-grandson of King Saul, mentioned among a list of hundreds of names chronicling the descendants of the Twelve Tribes (Ref:Chronicles I , 8:35) 8:34 The son of Jonathan:Meribbaal.8Meribbaal was the father of Micah.8:35 The sons of Micah:Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.

16. KASH/KISH Kish/Kash is is the name of numerous personalities mentioned in the Chronicles, all from the Bani-Israel,.like 1) A Levite of the family of Merari (1 Chr. 23:21; 24:29) ,(2.) A Benjamite of Jerusalem (1 Chr. 8:30; 9:36), (3.) A Levite in the time of Hezekiah (2 Chr. 29:12). 17. MADIAN In Bible history, Madian was where Israeli Prophet Hazrat Musa(alayhay salam) spent the 40 years between the time that he left Egypt after killing an Egyptian who had been beating a Hebrew (Ref:Exodus 2:11-15). PLACES OF EXILEIn the he biblical Book Isaiah it is said :Isaiah 11:11-12 :and he will raise a Banner to the Gentiles and will gather the banished of Israel ,and the dispersed of Judah will he bring together from the four corners of the earth".The places of exile of the lost tribes also mentioned in the books also point out the present day Afghanistan The Locations of the Exile. Other locations mentioned as placed of exile were the river Gozan, Habor, . Halah or Lahlah, and Hara. (Ref:Kings II,17 and 18; Chronicles 1,5). Also check in Chronicles 5:26 at http://bible.cc/1_chronicles/5-26.htm “The God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, to this day.” Where are these places of Exile?According to Saadia Gaon, “ River Gozan ” is the river north of the city of Balach in the north of Afghanistan. The river is known today as the “ Amu Darya ”, and is the border between Afghanistan and Russia. Afghanistan tradition states that the whole river was once known as the Gozen River.“Habor” is located in the pass between Afghanistan and Pakistan , and is called Pesh-Habor in Afghani (Pesh means Pass) after the city of the pass. The prophecy of Isaiah states that the exile will bring the tribes to the land of Sinim”: “Behold , these shall come from far, and , lo, these from the north and from the west, and these from the land of Sinim “( Isaiah 49:12) . This implies that the exile may have started
CLOTHES LIKE CHILDERN OF ISRAELNarrated Hazrat Umama reported Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: You and the Romans(Christians) will have four peace treaties *4. The fourth peace would be at the hand of a person who would be from the Al-e-Haroon( family of Prophet Haroon). This peace treaty would be for seven years. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was asked who would be the Imam of the Muslims at that time. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said” That person would be from my family, his age would be 40 years ,his face would be bright as a start and a black spot would be on his right cheek. He would be wearing two Qutwani Cloaks. He will appear exactly as the person from Bani Israeel. He will rule for 20 years and will conquer the cities of the Mushrikeen(Idolaters)_Ref: Kanz-ul-Aamal, Page 268, Hadith No 3868).________________________________ WHAT IS MEANT BY QUTWANI CLOAKS ? According to the reference of the kafirs i.e Britannica 1997 :Qutwani cloaks resembles the "TALLIT" of present day as called by the Israelis. Both Qutwani cloak and TALLIT have fringes (tzitzit) on borders and its mostly made of Wool.. It generally falls across the head, neck, and shoulders. However the Qutwani cloak is larger and more conspicuous prayer shawl than the Tallit. Now according to the Hadith there are “Two” Qutwani cloaks mentioned and are made of Wool (as many scholars described it ) and are wrapped around the body.Qutwani cloak is exactly like the cloaks worn by the Pashtoons of Afghanistan and Pakistan and its also worn in the same way like the Qutwani cloak described in the hadith and its explanation. The Pashtuns wrap these cloak around them to protect them from cold weather and they have fringes on the borders.Infact these cloaks are often the necessary part of the Pashtun dress (In Contrast to the present day jews who wear the so called Tziitzit as a symbol and which are much smaller to be wrapped around the body.infact it has just become a something to show off by jews and not essential part of dress).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tallit
The above mentioned hadith telling that Imam Mahdi would be from the family of Dear Prophet (salallaho alayhay wa sallam) but would NOT look like Dear Prophet(salallaho alayhay wa sallam) in appearance clearly tells that Mahdi will not be living among the Arabs .His appearance described as wearing Qutwani cloaks and looking like a person from Bani Israel shows that he must have been living among the Pathans for a long time and therefore IMAM MAHDI would be dressed also like the Pathans. The Arabs Do not wrap cloaks around them like this and also their cloaks never have fringes and are not made of wool because is not so cold in middle eastTHE UN-RELIABLE SOURCES OF INFORMATIONAccording to Quran ,Sura Al-Hujurat, verse No=6 (The following are three translations of the verse.)49/6 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَنْ تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَYUSUFALI: O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth….PICKTHAL: O ye who believe! If an evil-liver bring you tidings, verify it……SHAKIR: O you who believe! if an evil-doer comes to you with a report, look carefully into it,…The tragedy is that now majority of the world believes in the news, history and other reports that come from the Kafirs of the West and is accepted with the eyes closed with no investigation as the Quran tells us to do so. Priority is given to the reference of those people who had been in dark ages for one thousand years in which they lost all their own knowledge and culture. They started learning was in the 1400 A.Ds after their interaction with the Muslims in the Crusades. A Kafir from the West would tell us the History of India and we will put aside our own written history . Maybe inferiority complex(for no reason) is the cause of such folly. It is for that reason, such unreliable resources are as much avoided as possible in this essay
HISTORY CONCEALED Its not amazing that so called famous historians of the west likeSir Olaf Carou,("The Pathans” St. Martin's Press - New York 1958) and Mr.Frizer Tiller,("The Afghanistan") have intentionally tried to deviate the readers from the true origin of Pashtoons.Like for instance all the above writers shows their :”innocence” and “ignorance” over the true origin of the word “PATHAN”. All these are Christian writers and they have intentionally skipped the fact that the word Pathan is of Israeli origin as clearly written in the CHRONILCES-II that the Great grandson of King Saul and grandson of Jonathon was called PETHAN.Even Mr.Olaf Carou, in his book, is very much confused about the origin of the word Pathan and gives his own stupid ideas about this word and not mentioning the Chronicles-II at all. This is what we call Historical Forgery which the West have a Mastery. Also they have skipped the fact that was the name of the grandson of KING SAUL was called AFGHANA..Also these liars never motioned that the name of the second son of Levi and father of Amram was called KOHAT (Ref: Gen. 46:11) and its also the name of a famous city in the Pathan area of Pakistan. LETS ASK ALLAH TO SAVE US FROM THE LIES AND FRAUD OF THESE DECEIVING WESTERN HISTORIANS AND MAY WE NEVER TRUST THIER REFERENCES .AMEEN. Note:Definition of Cronicles: Also called (in early Roman Catholic translation into English) PARALIPOMENON I AND II, two Old Testament books that were originally part of a larger work that included the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. These three (Ezra and Nehemiah were one book in the Jewish canon) were the final books of the Hebrew Bible.WHY THE MODERN SO CALLED WESTERN HISTORIANS ARE BENT ON DENYING THE CLAIM OF PATHANS? .The reason is only to distort the meaning of ahadith where among Muslims people from the family of Prophet Ishaq (alayhay salam) and Prophet Yaqub or Israel (Alayhay salam) are told to be living in the East in the Historical region of KhorasanOTHER.HISTORICAL REFRERENCESThe claim of Afghans to be the Bani Israel (Children of Israel) is not founded on oral tradition alone. It is supported by ancient monuments, old inscriptions, manuscripts, and historical works, many in the public domain, and many others in private collections. Of recent report is the 12th century Hebrew cemetery a mile and a half from the base of the Tower of Jam in the middle of a very desolate region of Western Afghanistan. [New York Times Magazine, 42, Aug. 25, 2002]One of the most ancient manuscripts available is Rauza ul Albab fi Tawarikh-ul-Akabir wal Ansab – The Garden of the Learned in the History of Great Men and Genealogies – by Abu Suleman Daud bin Abul Fazal Muhammad Albenaketi which was written in 1317 A.D. The author in his Introduction explains that ever since the times of Moses the ancestors of Afghans have had to face great hardships. They were expelled from place to place and exterminated. Their ancient ancestors were sacked more than once and carried into captivity. In Chapter I a detailed history of Yacub (Jacob) is given and in Chapter II the genealogies of the Afghan tribes are further traced.Bukhtawar Khan in his most valuable universal history Mirat-ul-Alam – The Mirror of the World – gives a vivid account of the journeys of the Afghans from the Holy Land to Ghor, Ghazni, and Kabul. Similarly Hafiz Rahmat bin Shah Alam in his Khulasat-ul-Ansab and Fareed-ud-Din Ahmad in Risala-i-Ansab-i-Afghana provide the history of the Afghans and deal with their genealogies. Two of the most famous historical works on the subject are Tarikh-i-Afghana – History of the Afghans – by Niamatullah, which was translated by Bernard Dork in 1829, and Tarikh-i-Hafiz Rahmatkhani, by Hafiz Muhammad Zadeek which he wrote in 1770. These books deal with the early history of the Afghans, their origin and wanderings in general. They particularly discuss the Yusuf Zyes (the Yusefzai, "Sons of Joseph") and their occupation of Kabul, Bajoor, Swat, and Peshawar.Additional authors Syed Jalal-ud-Din Afghani (Tarikh-i-Afghana / History of Afghans), and Syed Abdul Jabbar Shah (Mun'ameen-i-Bani Israel, MS.), ex-Ruler of Swat, deserve to be mentioned. Both these writers discuss the question exhaustively and come to the conclusion that the Afghans represent the Lost Tribes of Israel as viewed from the perspective of the Jewish/Western world. If we turn to Anglo-Western writers during the time of the British Empire we find that they also have come to the same conclusion. The first to reach such is Henry Vansittart. In a letter which appeared in Indian Researches he commented on the Israelitis descent of the Afghans. He expressed the opinion that the claim of the Afghans to be Bani Israel are more than justified given his own observations of their indigenous traditions. [Indian Researches, 1788, Vol. 2: 69]Sir Alexander Brunes in his Travels into Bokhara, which he published in 1835, speaking of the Afghans said: "The Afghans call themselves Bani Israel, or the children of Israel, but consider the term Yahoodi, or Jew, to be one of reproach. They say that Nebuchadnezzar, after the overthrow of Israel, transplanted them into the towns of Ghore near Bamean and that they were called after their Chief Afghana... they say that they lived as Israelites till Khalid summoned them in the first century of the Mohammadans... Having precisely stated the traditions and history of the Afghans I see no good reason for discrediting them... the Afghans look like Jews and the younger brother marries the widow of the elder. The Afghans entertain strong prejudices against the Jewish nation, which would at least show that they have no desire to claim – without just cause – a descent from them. [Sir Alexander Brunes, Travels into Bokhara, Vol. 2:139-141.]Brunes was again in 1837 sent as the first British Envoy to the Court of Kabul. For some time he was the guest of King Dost Muhammad Khan. He questioned the King about the descent of the Afghans from the Israelites. The King replied that "his people had no doubt of that, though they repudiated the idea of being Jews".William Moorcroft traveled during 1819 to 1825 through various countries adjoining India, including Afghanistan. "The Khaibarees," he says, "are tall and have a singularly Jewish cast of features." At Push Kyun, within Afghan territory, he came across a very old copy of the Old Testament in Hebrew. [Moorcroft, Travels in Himalayan Provinces of Hindustan and the Punjab; in Ladakh and Kashmir, in Peshawar, Kabul, Kunduz and Bokhara, 12]J.B. Frazer in his book, An Historical and Descriptive Account of Persia and Afghanistan, which he published in 1843, says: "According to their own tradition they believe themselves to be descendants from the [Hebrews]...they preserved the purity of their religion until they met with Islam." [J.B. Frazer, A Historical and Descriptive Account of Persia and Afghanistan, 298]J.P. Ferrier wrote his History of the Afghans in 1858. It was translated by Capt. W. M. Jesse. He too was disposed to believe that the Afghans represented the Ten Tribes of Israel. In support of his view he recorded, among others, a very significant fact: “When Nadir Shah marching to the conquest of India arrived at Peshawar, the chief of the tribe of Yoosoof Zyes (Sons of Joseph) presented him with a Bible written in Hebrew and several other articles that had been used in their ancient worship and which they had preserved. These articles were at once recognized by the Jews who followed the camp.” – J.P. Ferrier, History of the Afghans, 4.George Moore published his famous work The Lost Tribes in 1861. He gave numerous facts to prove that these tribes are traceable to the Afghans. After giving details of the character of the wandering Israelites, he said: "And we find that the very natural character of Israel reappear in all its life and reality in countries where people call themselves Bani Israel and universally claim to be the descendants of the Lost Tribes. The nomenclature of their tribes and districts, both in ancient Geography, and at the present day, confirms this universal natural tradition. Lastly, we have the route of the Israelites from Media to Afghanistan and India marked by a series of intermediate stations bearing the names of several of the tribes and clearly indicating the stages of their long and arduous journey." [George Moore, The Lost Tribes]Moore goes on to say: "Sir William Jones, Sir John Malcolm and the missing Chamberlain, after full investigation, were of the opinion that the Ten Tribes migrated to India, Tibet, and Cashemire [Kashmir] through Afghanistan." [[George Moore, The Lost Tribes]Moore has mentioned only three eminent writers on the subject. But reference can also be made to General Sir George Macmunn (Afghanistan from Darius to Amanullah, 215), Col. [G.B. Malleson (The History of Afghanistan from the Earliest Period to the outbreak of the War of 1878, 39), Col. Failson, (History of Afghanistan, 49), George Bell (Tribes of Afghanistan, 15), E. Balfour (Encyclopedia of India, article on Afghanistan), Sir Henry Yule (Encyclopedia Britannica, article on Afghanistan), and the Hon. Sir George Rose (Rose, The Afghans, the Ten Tribes and the Kings of the East, 26). They, one and all, independently came to the same conclusion. Another, Major H.W. Bellew, went on a political mission to Kandahar and published his impressions in his Journal of a Mission to Kandahar, 1857-8. He then wrote in 1879 his book Afghanistan and Afghans. In 1880 he was sent, once again on another mission to Kabul, and in the same year he delivered two lectures before the United Services Institute at Simla: "A New Afghan Question, or "Are the Afghans Israelites?" and "Who are the Afghans?" He then published another book: The Races of Afghanistan. Finally he collected all his facts in An Enquiry into the Ethnography of Afghanistan, which was published in 1891.In this work he mentions Killa Yahoodi ("Fort of the Jews") (H.W. Bellew, An Enquiry into the Ethnography of Afghanistan, 34), as being the name of the eastern boundary of their country, and also speaks of Dasht-i-Yahoodi ("Jewish plain") (ibid., 4), a place in Mardan District. He concludes: "The Afghan’s accounts of Jacob and Esau, of Moses and the Exodus, of the Wars of the Israelites with the Amalekites and conquest of Palestine, of the Ark of the Covenant and of the election of Saul to the Kingdom, etc., etc., are clearly founded on the Biblical records, and clearly indicate a knowledge of the Old Testament, which if it does not prove the presence of the Christians at least corroborates their assertion that the Afghans were readers of the Pentateuch up to the time of the appearance of Mohammad." (Ibid., 191)Note, it is well understood and undisputed that there have never been Christian communities in Afghanistan pre- or for many centuries after the dawn of Islam.Thomas Ledlie wrote an article in the Calcutta Review, which he subsequently elaborated and published in two volumes. He expressed his views on the subject very clearly: "The Europeans always confuse things, when they consider the fact that the Afghans call themselves Bani Israel and yet reject their Jewish descent. Indeed, the Afghans discard the very idea of any descent from the Jews. They, however, yet claim themselves to be of Bani Israel." [Thomas Ledlie, More Ledlian, Calcutta Review, January, 1898]Ledlie goes on to explain: "Israelites, or the Ten Tribes, to whom the term Israel was applied – after their separation from the House of David, and the tribe of Judah, which tribe retained the name of Judah and had a distinct history ever after. These last alone are called Jews and are distinguished from the Bani Israel as much in the East as in the West." [Ibid., 7]Among more contemporary writers Dr. Alfred Edersheim says: "Modern investigations have pointed to the Nestorians and latterly, with almost convincing evidence (so far as it is possible) to the Afghans as descendants from the Lost Tribes." [Dr. Alfred Edersheim, The Life and Times of Jesus, the Messiah, 15]Sir Thomas Holditch in his The Gates of India says: "But there is one important people (of whom there is much more to be said) who call themselves Bani Israel, who claim a descent from Cush and Ham, who have adopted a strange mixture of Mosaic Law in Ordinances in their moral code, who (some sections at least) keep a feast which strongly accords with the Passover,...and for whom no one has yet been able to suggest any other origin than the one they claim, and claim with determined force, and these people are the overwhelming inhabitants of Afghanistan." – Sir Thomas Holditch, The Gates of India, 49.There are many additional references, recorded incidents, manuscripts and artifacts related to the Hebraic history of the Pashtuns for the dedicated objective researcher who seeks them out.In his 1957 classic The Exiled and the Redeemed, Itzhak Ben-Zvi, second President of Israel, writes that Hebrew migrations into Afghanistan began, "with a sprinkling of exiles from Samaria who had been transplanted there by Shalmaneser, King of Assyria (719 BC). From the recurrent references in the Book of Esther to the "one hundred and twenty seven dominions" of King Ahasuerus, the deduction is permissible that eastern Afghanistan was among them." [[The Exiled and the Redeemed, 176]Ben-Zvi continues, "The Afghan tribes, among whom the Jews have lived for generations, are Moslems who retain to this day their amazing tradition about their descent from the Ten Tribes. It is an ancient tradition, and one not without some historical plausibility. A number of explorers, Jewish and non-Jewish, who visited Afghanistan from time to time, and students of Afghan affairs who probed into literary sources, have referred to this tradition, which was also discussed in several encyclopedias in European languages. The fact that this tradition, and no other, has persisted among these tribes is itself a weighty consideration. Nations normally keep alive memories passed by word of mouth from generation to generation, and much of their history is based not on written records but on verbal tradition. This was particulary so in the case of the nations and the communities of the Levant. The people of the Arabian Peninsula, for example, derived all their knowledge of an original pagan cult, which they abandoned in favor of Islam, from such verbal tradition. So did the people of Iran, formerly worshipers of the religion of Zoroaster; the Turkish and Mongol tribes, formerly Buddhists and Shamanists; and the Syrians who abandoned Christianity in favor of Islam. Therefore, if the Afghan tribes persistently adhere to the tradition that they were once Hebrews and in course of time embraced Islam, and there is not an alternative tradition also existent among them, the matter certainly deserves careful and critical examination." [The Exiled and the Redeemed]OTHER REFRENCES:Emperor Jahangir of the MUghal Dynasty ordered his courtier to search for the origin of the Pashtoons and so the famous book "Makhzan e Afghani” was written in 1635,which also confirms the orgin of Pashtoons from the lost tribes According to the tradition, King Saul had a son called Jeremiah who had a son called Afghana. Jeremiah died at about the time of King Saul's death and Afghana was raised by King David and remained in the royal court during King Solomon's reign. About 400 years later in the time of disorder of Israel, the Afghana family fled to a land called Gur which is in central Afghanistan. They settled and traded with the people of the area and in the year 662, with the arrival of Islam, the sons of Israel in Gur converted to the prophet with 7 representatives of the Afghan. The leader of the sons of Israel was Qais like the name of Saul's father. According to this tradition Dear Prophet Muhammad(Salallaho alayhay wa sallam), rewarded them and Qais's Hebrew name was changed to Arab-A-Rashid by Dear Prophet Muhammad(Salallaho alayhay wa sallam)Qais Abdul Rasheed married Sara, the daughter of Khalid Bin Waleed RA(the famous companion of Dear ProphetMuhammad(Salallaho alayhay wa sallam),· The Nawab of Hoti, Sir Akbar Khan, writes in his famous book "The Corrigendum of an Historic Fact" that in 570 BC, the King of Babul Bukht Nasir ordered the two grandsons of Afghana, Armia and Burkhia, to settle the Bin Yamin tribes in his kingdom. Hence they brought their old grandfather to the hills of Herat and started living there. · Khwaja Nazer Ahmad proves in his book "Christ in Heaven on Earth"… . that the Pashtoons belong to the lost tribes of Israel.· Abdul Salim in his book "Nasab Afghana" that Pushtoons trace back to the Jews.· Some ,other references are the following:1. Black Banners From Khurasan (Afghanistan) To Jerusalem:

They Will Be Always Successful And Will Pledge Their Allegiance To Imam Mahdi

Pity poor Taliqan (a region in Afghanistan) that at that place are treasures of Allah, but these are not of gold and silver but consist of people who have recognised Allah as they should have. (Al-Muttaqi al-Hindi, Al-Burhan fi Alamat al-Mahdi Akhir al-zaman, p.59)
*Note:The people of Taliqan are sunnis, following Hanafi Deobandi methodology since centuries.Jowzjan/Juzjanan province in Afghanistan.

On 11 September, after Taleban forces reportedly declared Taliqan town and its surrounding villages military zones, some 18,000 people living in the villages of Ganj Ali Beg, Sarai Sang, Khatayan, Qazaq, Ahan Dara, and Shurab were forced to abandon their homes in search of safety.Click here for :Source 1.Black Flags /Black banners From East i.e Khurasan[Afghanistan]Abu Abdullah Nuaim Ibn Hammad on a chain of transmission on the authority of Al Zuhari who said " The black flags will come from the East, led by mighty men, with long hair and beards, their surnames are taken from the names of their home towns (i.e. Khosti or from Khost etc.) and their first names are from a "Kunya"(Asmal Masalik Lieyyam Mahdiyy Maliki Li Kull-id Dunya Biemrillah-il Malik, Qalda bin Zayd)Hadhrat Buraidah (R.A.) says that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "There will be many armies after me. You must join that army which will come from Khurasaan." (Ibn Adi)

On the authority of Thawbaan (May Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah said: "If you see the Black Banners coming from Khurasan go to them immediately, even if you must crawl over ice, because indeed amongst them is the Caliph, Al Mahdi.
" [Narrated on authority of Ibn Majah, Al-Hakim, Ahmad]

Narrated by Abdur Rehman Al-Jarshi that I heard companion of Dear Prophet(salallaho alayhay wa sallam), Hazrat Amr Bin Marra Al-jamli(R.A) that Dear Prophet(salallaho alayhay wa sallam) said: Surely Black Flag will appear from the Khorasan until the people(under the leadership of this flag) will tie their horses with the Olive Trees between Bait-e-Lahya and Harasta. We asked are there any Olive trees between these places. He said,”If there isn’t then soon it will grow so that those people(of Khorasan) will come and tie their horses there.”[Ref: Kitab-al-Fitan Page 215. Harasta (Arabic: حرستا, transliteration: Ḥarastā), also known as Harasta al-Basal, is a Syrian city administratively belonging to Rif Dimashq. Harasta has an altitude of 702 meters. It has a population of 38,184 as of 2007, making it the 43rd largest city per geographical entity in Syria.
Beit Lahia (Arabic: بيت لاهيا or بيت لاهية) is a town under Palestinian Authority of about 40,000 people in the northern Gaza Strip. It is located north of Jabalia, near Beit Hanoun and the border with Israel. Hamas, an Islamic party, took control of it during the 2005 municipal elections.
The word “Lahia” is Syriac and means “desolate” or “tiresome”. It is surrounded by sand dunes, some rise to 55m above sea level. The area is renowned for its many large Sycamore trees. The Israeli settlements of Nisanit, Elei Sinai, and Dugit that were in close proximity to Beit Lahia were evacuated during August 2005.Beit Lahiaبيت لاهيBeit LahiyaBayt Lahiya

Thawban said, "The Prophet said: 'Three men will be killed at the place where your treasure is. Each of them will be the son of a Khalifah, and none of them will get hold of the treasure. Then black banners will come out of the east...' If you see him, go and give him your allegiance, even if you have to crawl over ice, because he is the Khalifah of Allah, the Mahdi.'" This hadith is reported in Sunan Ibn Majah vol 3 number 4084 in 'Kitab al-Fitan, Baab Kharuj al-Mahdi' and 'Mustadrak' al-Hakim. Hakim classified it as saheeh on the conditions set by al-Bukhari and Muslim and al-Dhahabi agreed. Ibn Kathir wrote about it in his 'al-Nihaya (al-Fitan wa al-Malahim)' that its isnaad is 'qawii' (strong). al-Albani considers some of the chains as unacceptable, but writes the hadith is correct in meaning without the addition, 'he is the Khalifah of Allah, the Mahdi.' He rates the isnaad of Ibn Majah from 'Alqama from Ibn Mas'ud as hasan which does not have the words, 'khalifa-tullah.' He then goes on to discuss why this addition is not acceptable. ('Silsilah al-Ahadeeth al-Da'eefah wa al-Maudu'a', vol 1, p. 195-198, Hadith #85)

You’ll join hands with a Christian group and war with another. You’ll gain victoryAt that time, you will be present in a plain of great mountains with plenty of trees. In the meantime, the Christians will raise the crucifix and refer the victory to it. At this, a Muslim will become angry, and will pull the crucifix down, at which, the Christians will unite breaking all treaties with the Muslims. The Christians will demand their wanted people, to which the Muslims will answer:"By Allah! They are our brothers. We will never hand them over. This will start the war. One-third Muslims will run away. Their ‘Tawbah’ (Repentance) will never be accepted.. One-third will be killed. They will be the best 'Shaheed' (martyrs) near Allah The remaining one-third will gain victory(6708,6709 Ibn Hibban)

Khurasaan in the time of Prophet (SAW) included the whole Afghanistan, Northern parts of Pakistan including Malak and Divison , central Asian states, part of Iran -- still a province in the North East of the country is named Khurasaan

At the time, when the Muslim Ummah will have abundance of wealth, gold and silver, the Muslims will be extremely belittled, weak and helpless. The enemy nations will invite each other to pounce upon them as hungry people invite one another for food. The Sahabah (R.A) asked with utter worry, "O Prophet of Allah! Would we be very few in number?" Prophet Muhammad (S) replied: "No! You’d be as great in quantity as the foam of the sea is, seen wherever the eye can reach. But you’ll be overtaken by ‘wahn’." The Sahabah (R.A) asked, "O Prophet of Allah! What is ‘wahn’?" He (S) replied: "Love of this world and fear of death!" You’ll join hands with a Christian group and war with another. You’ll gain victory. At that time, you will be present in a plain of great mountains with plenty of trees. We will never hand them over." This will start the war. One-third Muslims will run away. Their ‘Tawbah’ (Repentance) will never be accepted. One-third will be killed. They will be the best 'Shaheed' (martyrs) near Allah. The remaining one-third will gain victory, until, under the leadership of Imam Mehdi, they will fight against Kufr (non-believers).. (Ibn Majah)

Reported on a chain of transmission on the authority of Kaab "The sign of the Mahdi's appearance will be war banners coming from the west, lead by a man with a disability from "Kinda" (Nuaym son of Hammad, Al-Fitan page 205)*Note: Genreral Richard Meyers, commander of the US Joint chiefs of staff decalared the war on Afghanistan in October 2001 on crutches.

There is a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) about the symbols of the Judgment day that people with the Black Flag will rise up from the land of Khurasaan to fight against Kuffar Alliances in the Final War of Armageddon.

Geographically, Syria is a land of great diversity that includes coastline, mountainous areas, steppe, and desert.

Geographically, Syria can be divided into four regions. A narrow fertile coastal plain runs along the Mediterranean border and extends inland to a narrow range of mountains and hills. The coastal climate is moderate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters; the average annual rainfall is this area is between 30 and 40 inches. The mountainous region runs from north to south, parallel to the Mediterranean Sea. The interior semiarid plains region is found to the east of the mountains. Much of the southeastern part of Syria is desert region that extends to the borders of Jordan and Iraq; most of the desert is a rock and gravel plateau that receives less than four inches of rain annually and is extremely hot.

You will make a firm truce with the Christians (al-Rum) until you and they wage a campaign against an enemy that is attacking them. You will be granted victory and great spoils. Then you will alight in a plain surrounded by hills. There, someone among the Christians shall say: 'The Cross has overcome!' whereupon someone among the Muslims shall say: 'Nay, Allah has overcome!' and shall go and break the cross. The Christians shall kill him, then the Muslims shall take up their arms and the two sides shall fall upon each other. Allah shall grant martyrdom to that group of Muslims. After that the Christians shall say to their leader: 'We shall relieve you of the Arabs,' and they shall gather up for the great battle (al-malhama). They shall come to you under eighty flags, each flag gathering 12,000 troops." [approx. 1 million]Narrated with sound chains from Dhu Mikhbar al-Najashi by Abu Dawud, Ahmad, Ibn Majah, Ibn Hibban, and al-Hakim who declared it sahih and al-Dhahabi concurred. See Shaykh Shu`ayb Arna'ut's documentation of this hadith in his edition of Sahih Ibn Hibban (15:101-103 #6708-6709). Narrated Abu Hurayrah: Allah's Apostle (peace_be_upon_him) said: The Last Hour will not come until the Romans land at al-A'maq or in Dabiq[north of Aleppo( a city in northen syria). An army consisting of the best (soldiers) of the people on Earth at that time will come from Medina (to oppose them). When they arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans will say: Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from among us. Let us fight them. The Muslims will say: Nay, by Allah, we shall never turn aside from you and from our brethren so that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third (part) of the army, whom Allah will never forgive, will run away. A third (part of the army), which will be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah's eyes, would be killed. The third who will never be put on trial will win and they will be the conquerors of Constantinople. (and/or Rome) As they are busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, Satan will cry: The Dajjal has taken your place among your families. They will then come out, but it will be of no avail. When they reach Syria, he will come out while they are still preparing themselves for battle, drawing up the ranks. Certainly, the time of prayer will come and then ‘Eessa (peace_be_upon_him), son of Maryam, descends and will lead them in prayer. When the enemy of Allah sees him, it will (disappear) just as salt dissolves in water and if he (‘Eessa) were not to confront them at all, even then it would dissolve completely. Allah would kill them by his hand and he would show them their blood on his lance. (Muslim Book No: 40 No: 6924) *Note:This is the part of the victorious army from Afghanistan-Taliban war facing similar fate in three categories, here connecting the old victorios army's fate with the current victorious army.Hence the victoriours army never lost continuty in its entirety.

Christian ControlIn the era preceding Qiyamah the Christians will control/govern the whole world. The Christians will reach Khyber.(Hadith quoted in Bab-al-Qeyamah by Muhaddith Shah Rafee-ud-din RA)". (*Note:Place in present day Saudi close to Madina. US forces are already positioned there)

Taliban Also Wears Black Turbans & White Clothers Al Hasan Al Basri said:"A man of medium stature will come from Ar-Ray (a far-eastern town). He will be dark and from the children of Tamim -- a Wasaj, named Shuayb son of Salih with four thousand men. Their clothes will be white and Banners black, and at his front is the Mahdi. He meets no one that he does not defeat and scatter."Note: The children of Al Abbas have indeed carried black banners in revolt, which occurred some time ago. The Taliban wear black turbans and white clothes, and do carry Black Banners in wartime.Army Of Black Banner consists mainly of Pathans/Bani IsraelNarrated Abu Hurayrah: Allah's Apostle (peace_be_upon_him) said: You have heard of the city, one side of which is inclined and the other is on the coast. They said: Yes, Allah's Apostle (peace_be_upon_him). Thereupon he said: The Last Hour will not come until 70,000 people from the children of Israel attack it. When they land there, they will neither fight with weapons nor shower arrows but will only say: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and one side of it will fall. Thawr (one of the narrators) said: I think that he said: The area on the coast. Then they will say for the second time: "There is no god but Allah and Allah is the Greatest," and the other side will also fall. They will say: "There is no god but Allah is the Greatest," and the gates will be opened for them and they will enter. They will be collecting spoils of war and distributing them among themselves when a noise will be heard and it will be said: Verily, the Dajjal has come. Thus they will leave everything there and turn to (confront) him. (Sahih Muslim Book No: 40 No: 6979)

Qays Tribe:Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira(R.A) Dear Prophet(Salallaho alayhay wa sallam) said: That a person called Sufyani will appear from the suburbs of Damascus and his general followers will be the people of Kulaib Tribe. He attack(so fiercely) that he will cut the bellies of Women and kill children. To fight against him, the people of the Tribe of Qais will gather. Sufyani will fight them and kill them so much that no valley will be left without their dead bodies .

*Note:Where is the tribe of Qais?Emperor Jahangir ordered his courtier to search for the origin of the Pashtoons and so the famous book "Makhzan e Afghani” was written in 1635,which also confirms the orgin of Pashtoons from the lost tribes and also tells about the the tribe of QAIS.It tells us that the Qias was friend of Companion of Dear Prophet(salallaho alayhay wa sallam) and was the first person among Pathans who reverted to Islam. Most of the Pathan tribes consider Qais as their ancestor and therefore the Pathans can also be considered as the tribe of Qais. Arabs Will be less in NumberNarrated Umm Sharik: I heard Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: The people would run away from the Dajjal seeking shelter in the mountains. She said: Where would be the Arabs then on the day? He said: They would be small in number. (Muslim.)
Yellow Banners/ FlagsAmmar, the son of Yasir, may Allah be pleased with both of them, said: "When As-Sufyaani reaches Kufa and kills the supporters of the family of Muhammad, praise and peace be upon him, the Mahdi will come and the bearer of his Banner will be Shuayb, the son of Salih."Nuaim Ibn Hammad on a chain of transmission on the authority of Al Zuhari who said, "If the people of the black flag divide, then the people of the yellow banner will attack, they will gather in the canal of Egypt and the people of the East and the West will fight for seven (days or months or years)..." (Asmal Masalik Lieyyam Mahdiyy Maliki Li Kull-id Dunya Biemrillah-il Malik, Qalda bin Zayd)

Az-Zuhri said:"The black banners will meet in battle with the yellow banners, and they will fight each other up to Palestine. Then the Sufyaani will come out against the people of the east, and when the people of the Maghrib settle in Jordan, their ruler will die. So they will split into three groups; one group that will return to where they came from, one group that will go to the Hajj, and one group that will stay and against whom the Sufyaani will fight. He will defeat them, and they will enter his obedience."(Nu'aym ibn Hammad, Kitab al-Fitan, No. 54) *Note: The Jewish defense league also uses a yellow flag. It may also be that the yellow standards from the west, and the black standards from the east actually fight in the canal of Egypt for 7 days/months/years. Click here to view the Flag

Black Banners Will Establish Power for Mahdi [a.s]Said son of Al Musayyab reported: "The Black Banners will come from the East from the children of Al Abbas. Then there will remain whatsoever Allah wishes. Then, small Black Banners will come to fight a man from the children of Abu Sufyaan from the East. They will give their allegiance to the Mahdi." (Nuaym ibn Hammad.)
Related by Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam said: "(Armies carrying) black flags will come from Khurasan (Afghanistan). No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Jerusalem where they will erect their flags." (Tirmidhi)

The Prophet (PBUH ) said: "We (I and my family) are members of a household that Allah (SWT) has chosen for them the life of the Hereafter over the life of this world; and the members of my household (Ahlul-Bayt) shall suffer a great affliction and they shall be forcefully expelled from their homes after my death; then there will come people from the East carrying black flags, and they will ask for some good to be given to them, but they shall be refused service; as such, they will wage war and emerge victorious, and will be offered that which they desired in the first place, but they will refuse to accept it till they pass it to a man from my family (Ahlul-Bayt) appears to fill the Earth with justice as it has been filled with corruption. So whoever reaches that (time) ought to come to them even if crawling on the ice/snow since among them is the Vice-regent of Allah (Khalifatullah) al-Mahdi." Abdullah, the son of Shuraykh, said:"With the Mahdi is the marked Banner of the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him."

On the authority of Thawban, the Messenger of Allah (upon whom be blessings and peace) said:The Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam said: "Before your treasure, three will kill each other -- all of them are sons of a different caliph but none will be the recipient. Then the Black Banners will appear from the East and they will kill you in a way that has never before been done by a nation." Thawban, a companion said: 'Then he said something that I do not remember by heart' then continued to say that the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, said: "If you see him give him your allegiance, even if you have to crawl over ice, because surely he is the Caliph of Allah, the Mahdi. If you see the black (meaning war) flags coming from Khurasan (Afghanistan), join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice, for this is the army of the Caliph, the Mahdi and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem."(Son of Majah, Al Busiri, Al Hakim, Ahmad Nuaym, Ad-Daylami, Hasan, son of Sufyaan, and Abu Nuaym.)Ibne Majah Page 300, Also in Ahmad's Musnad, al-Haakim's Mustadrak and others *Note:[The authenticity of this hadith is duscussed in the end ]
Al-Harith son of Hirath & MansoorAli said, “The Prophet said, ‘A man named al-Harith son of Hirath will come from Transoxania [Central Asia ] His army will be led by a man named Mansoor. He will be pave the way for and establish the government of the family of Muhammad, just as the Quraysh established the government of the Messenger of Allah.Every believer will be obliged to support them.’” (Abu-Dawud.)

'Abdullah, the son of Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, said to Mujahid: "If I had not heard that you are like the people of this House I would never tell you this." Whereupon Mujahid said: "It is surely in secret, I will not mention it to someone you hate." So Ibn Abbas told him: "There are four people from the House, from us is As-Saffah, and from us Al Mundhir, and from us the Mansoor, and from us is the Mahdi." So Mujahid said: "Clarify these four for me." He answered: "As for As-Saffah, perhaps he will kill his supporters and forgive his enemy. Al Mundhir will give away plenty of wealth, he will be humble and keep but a little of his rights. The Mansoor, will be given victory over his enemy and part of what was given to the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, and that is that his enemies were frightened away from him the traveling distance of two months, whereas the enemy of the Mansoor will be frightened away from him the traveling distance of one month. The Mahdi will fill the earth with justice just as it has been filled with transgression -- livestock and foxes will live together peacefully. And the earth will bring forth that which is hidden from its depths -- they look like cylinders of gold or silver."(Found in reference to 'Ali ibn Abu Talib)

About Shuayb, the son of Salih, from Tamim:Ammar, the son of Yasir, may Allah be pleased with both of them, said: "The bearer of the Banner of the Mahdi is Shuayb, the son of Salih."
Muhammad, son of Al Hanaffia, said:"The Black Banners will come out for the children of Al Abbas. The other black banners will come from Khurasan. Their turbans will be black and their clothes white. At their front will be a man named Shuayb, the son of Salih, from Tamim. They will defeat the companions of The Sufyaani until he comes to the House of Jerusalem where he will establish his power for the Mahdi, and he will be supplied with three hundred (men) from Syria after his arrival and the matter will be settled for the Mahdi in seventy-two months (six years)."

Al Hasan Al Basri said:"A man of medium stature will come from Ar-Ray (a far-eastern town). He will be dark and from the children of Tamim -- a Wasaj, named Shuayb son of Salih with four thousand men. Their clothes will be white and Banners black, and at his front is the Mahdi. He meets no one that he does not defeat and scatter."

Some Arabs will fight with Mahdi [a.s] and they will be defeated.
Umm Salamah reported that the Prophet said,"Disagreement will occur at the death of a ruler and a man from the people of Medina will flee to Mecca. Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. An army will then be sent against him from Syria but will be swallowed up in the desert between Mecca and Medina. When the people see that, the eminent saints (Al-Abdal) of Syria and the best people of Iraq will come to him and swear allegiance to him. Then a man from Quraysh whose mother is from Kalb will appear and send against them an army which will be overcome by them, and that is the Battle of Kalb. Disappointed will be the one who does not receive the booty of Kalb. He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of the Prophet. He will remain seven years, then die, and the Muslims will pray over him." (Abu Dawud)*Note: The ruler of Syria at that time is the Sufyaani .

Imam Mahdi with his army which is mainly bani Israel i.e Pashthuns/pathans will fight some Arabs ."

When the dark people come after the Arabs they will be defeated and thrown into the lowest part of the earth. While these circumstances exist, The Sufyaani will come with three hundred and sixty riders until he reaches Damascus. After a month, he will be followed by thirty thousand from Kalb, so he will send an army to Iraq and kill a hundred thousand in Az-Zawra. Then they will go to Kufa and pillage. When this occurs a banner will come from the east led by a man from Tamim called Shuayb, the son of Salih who will restore what is in their hands from the captured people of Kufa and he will kill them. Then, another army from The Sufyaani will go to Medina and pillage it for three days and thereafter proceed towards Mecca until they find themselves in a desert. Then, Allah will send Gabriel and say to him, 'Chastise them!' So he will beat them with his leg once and Allah will cause them to be swallowed up. None will remain except two men who will return to The Sufyaani to inform him of the swallowing-up of his army, but this will not scare him. Several men from the Quraysh will escape to Istanbul and The Sufyaani will send to the leader of the Romans who will return them to him and he will slit their throats together with their followers. At that time a voice will come from Heaven saying: 'O people, surely Allah prevents dictatorship, tyrants and their followers for you and gives leadership to the best of the nation of Muhammad. So join him in Mecca -- he is the Mahdi!" Then, Hudhayfah asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, how shall we know him?' He replied: "He is a man from my children, he looks like the men from the children of Israel, upon him are two white cloaks with frayed edges"Qutwaani" cloaks. His face is like a colorful, glittering star, upon his right cheek there is a black mole and he is forty years old. Al Abdal and those looking like them will come to him from Syria. An-Nujaba will come to him from the dwellers of Egypt and groups of dwellers from the east, and those looking like them until they all gather together in Mecca and so they will pledge their allegiance to him between Al Rukn and Al Makam. Then he will direct himself towards Syria with Gabriel at his front and Michael at his middle and the dwellers of Heaven and Earth will be joyful because of him. Water will be plentiful in his country and the river will be spread and treasures found. When he reaches Syria he will slay The Sufyaani under the tree, the branches of which grow in the direction of Lake Tiberias and he will kill Kalb. So the loser of that Day of Kalb is he who does not gain even a rein." Hudhaybah asked: 'O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, how is it permitted to kill them when they believe in the Oneness?' The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, replied: "O Hudhayfah, they are at that time apostates, they claim that wine is permitted and do not pray." (Narrated by Hudhayfah and are found in the references of Abu Nuaym, At-Tabarani, and Abu Amru Ad Dani.)

'There will be a city called Zawra between the Tigris and the Euphrates. There will be a great battle there.Women will be taken prisoner, and men will have their throats cut like sheep.' (Muntakhab Kanzul Ummal, vol. 5, p. 38)

*Note:The best example of the Islamic pattern is Baghdad whose exterior walls are not the same height as the interior ones, with alleys and curves separating them for defensive purposes. Hence Baghdad was also called 'Al Zawra'a'. Also Al-Zawra'a Park in Al-Mansour Area and almost in a central location of Baghdad.

Imam Mahdi is himself Bani Ismael i.e belonging to progeny of Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] and a decendent of Fatima r.a & Ali r.a but he will resemble like the men of Bani Israel.

Narrated by Hudhayfah, The Prophet said: "The Mahdi is a man from my children. His face is like a glittering star, his skin is the color of an Arab, and his body is like that of Israel. He will fill the earth with justice just as it will have been filled by injustice, and the dwellers of Heaven and Earth will be pleased with his Caliphate." (Abu Nuaym, At-Tabarani, and Abu Amru Ad Dani.)
Sahih ahadith of Muslim Armies with Black Banners to come "Thawbaan reported that the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said, 'Three will fight for the your treasure (of the Ka`bah), each of them the son of a 'Khaleefah', it will be rendered to none of them. Then from the direction of the East will emerge black flags. Then they will fight you like they have fought none before.' Then some words were spoken which I did not remember. He then said, 'If you see him, give bay`ah to him even if you must crawl over ice. For, verily, he is the 'Khaleefah' of Allah (Khaleefatullaah), the Mahdi". This Hadeeth is found in Ibn Maajah, Ahmad's Musnad, al-Haakim's Mustadrak and others. After analysing the chain of narration found in Ibn Maajah's Sunan the narrators are in the following authentic unbroken reliable chain:1) Reported to Ibn Maajah by both Muhammad bin Yahya and Ahmad bin Yusuf - Both reliable; Imam Muslim has said about Ahmad bin Yusuf, "He is reliable (thiqqah)." an-Nasaa'i has said, "There is no problem in him." ad-DaraaquTni has said, "Reliable and noble (thiqqah nabeel)." 2) `Abdur-Razzaq bin Hammaam as-San`aani - Reliable. Ahmad bin Hanbal was asked about him, "Have you seen anyone better in Hadeeth than `Abdur-Razzaaq?" He replied, "No". 3) Sufyaan ath-Thawri - Too reputable to record his merits. Very reliable. Shu`bah, Sufyaan bin `Uyaynah, Abu `AaSim an-Nabeel and YaHya ibn Ma`een among others said: "Sufyaan is the 'Ameer al-Mu'mineen" of Hadeeth"! 4) Khaalid bin Mahraan al-Hathaa' - Reliable. Ahmad bin Hanbal has said, "Trustworthy (thabt)." Ibn Ma`een and an-Nasaa'i have both said, "Reliable (thiqqah)." 5) Abi Qulaaba Abdullaah bin Zayd al-Harrami - Reliable. Muhammad bin Sa`d has said in his "at-Tabaqah ath-Thaaniyah min Ahl al-Basrah" about him, "He was reliable (thiqqah)." 6) Abu Asmaa' `Amroo bin Marthad ar-RaHabi - Reliable. al-`Ijly has said about him, "Shaami, Tabi`ee, Reliable (thiqqah)." 7) Thawbaan - Companion and servant of the Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam). 8) The Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam). ["Tahtheeb al-Kamaal" of al-Mizzi and "Tahtheeb at-Tahtheeb" of Ibn Hajar were referenced for verification of the Narrators]In this chain of narrators, weakness is nowhere in sight, subhan'allah.
